Lyrical Sunday - Daylight.

I have two offerings this week. My favourite song about daylight and a poem.


I chased the sun.

I chased the sun today.
It burnt my fingers
As I reached for it.
I chased the sun today.
To pull it round me,
Hiding from the shadows behind me,
Blinding myself to the darkness,
I held onto the fiery hope
of the season born again.
I chased the sun.

    Beautiful words, which conjured up a happy scene in my mind and made me feel the childlike zest of excitement that comes with chasing sun beams :-)
