Rambling Courage.

Thoughts on Courage.

Opening your eyes,
Getting out of bed
Dressing, eating, conversing
Move through the day,
Motion after thought
Word after action
Rinse and repeat
Some days are nothing
But small steps of courage.

---

Courage is found when you are able to breathe through the pain of a breaking heart.

---

I am not courageous. I am an idealist. I am sarcastic. I am a believer in the goodness of the human soul. I am trusting - of myself and those I let into my life. I over-think. I worry. I hope. I cry. I continue. I hope to find courage along the path I travel.

---

Courage is not bravery. Bravery is seen and applauded. Courage is the squeeze of a small hand as you step across the road.

---

I find my courage in words. In those spoken, read or sung. In the words of friends and strangers I find my faith.

---

my hand is reaching for you, across the darkened room//more courageous than my heart, fingertips search the moon//

  1. I don't agree - you are incredibly courageous and don't realise it at all! Sometimes I think medals should be handed out (or a glass of wine) just as a reward for surviving each day. Nobody knows what it is like to be anybody else or live a day in their shoes, so don't judge yourself based on what you think others see.

  2. So good to see you write. Love this. You give me hope in something I can't find the right words to write about yet. Even though I can't take your pain away or know how you feel, when I read your writings they touch pieces of me. Thats a very special gift. Dont let anyone take it away. Even when you cant be courageous just be you and true to what you are and know.

  6. Courage you have, keep taking one day at a time. Get that gratitude journal out and write 10 things you are greatful for every single day - very powerful.
