Why I've been MIA...

Today, a day late, Uncle Rocket Scientist arrived to spend his first holiday with us since Monkey was born.

He was supposed to arrive yesterday but thanks to a truck driving into a plane - by accident - his flight was delayed and he had to spend a night in Melbourne.

But he is here now and that's what counts.

Monkey is in seventh heaven. Uncle Rocket Scientist is the bees knees. They have played ninjas, hide and seek and had epic conversations and he's only been here a few hours.

I am thrilled they're getting on. It's always hard to know how things will turn out. But so far, so good.

It's good to have family here. It's a bitter-sweet reminder of what we miss out on living ten thousand kilometres away from family.

If I'm quiet, I'm just out building memories. It's a good time to catch up on old posts :P
