Curried Coconut Chickpeas in the slowcooker

I have no idea where I got this recipe from... so I can't credit the owner :(. 

Curried Coconut Chickpeas

1-2 tsp oil
1 medium onion - diced
3 large cloves of garlic
2cm root ginger grated
2tsp curry powder (or to taste)
1/2 tsp turmeric

2.5 cups cooked, drained, chickpeas
400g can of diced tomatoes
1/2 cup coconut cream
2 tsp brown sugar
fresh coriander leaves

Saute the first 6 ingredients for 10 minutes

Add everything else to the slowcooker bowl and gently stir in the sauted spices and onion.

Cook on low for 6 -10 hours.

My adjustments - I only had a 800g can of tomatoes so they went in and I couldn't be bothered to measure out the coconut cream so I just chucked the whole can in. I also wanted more veges for Monkey so I added a packet of frozen brocolli and cauliflower.
