Lyrical Sunday - Numbers

Welcome to Lyrical Sunday. This week's prompt was Numbers. Link up in the comments and I'll post a  collection of work later in the week.

Numbers only count 

When I say I love you,

And you smile at me

And we hold hands

And we laugh, 

Words spilling from our hearts.

Those are what count.  

Not the fights, 

The dates missed 

Nor the tears shed.

But one.

I am but one,
but one in a sea of more than one
is more than none

Monkey's grasp of numbers is much better than mine.
